Name of experiment: Application of power amplifier on the example of flexible piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer in underwater radiation experiment
Research Direction: Underwater radiation experiment of flexible piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer
Context: The movement of the clamping platform on the X, Y and Z axes is realized by controlling a stepper motor. A signal generator and power amplifier act as the excitation end to give the flexible piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer a sinusoidal excitation signal. A fixed position hydrophone is used to receive the ultrasonic wave emitted by the flexible piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer underwater, and feedback to the main computer through an oscilloscope for data collection.
Purpose of the experiment: A flexible piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer was designed to meet the needs of long-term follow-up treatment of bone injury.
Experimentequipment: main computer, signal generator, power amplifier (ATA-4011), signal generator, hydrophone, test tank.
Experiment process:
In this study, a sinusoidal voltage with a frequency of 321.15kHz (the resonant frequency of the device previously measured in water by an impedance analyzer) and an amplitude value of 10V was used as the excitation signal for a flexible piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer. When the frequency of the sinusoidal excitation was repeatedly changed without changing the relative position of the hydrophone and the amplitude of the excitation voltage, it was found that the intensity of the ultrasonic signal received by the hydrophone reached a maximum when the frequency was 357kHz.
The result of the experiment:
The low-intensity ultrasonic wave generated by a flexible piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer has the potential ability to promote fracture healing. Its safety depends on the amplitude of the excitation voltage and the length of the irradiation time.
Operation of the amplifier in the experiment: generating the excitation signal, driving the flexible piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer.
