The MRU-200 meter (as the only one in the world) uses all known methods for measuring grounding resistance, which definitely distinguishes it from other instruments. Tests can be performed using the technical method, including with additional clamps (multiple grounding), but also using the two-clamp method and the impact method. The two-clamp method makes it possible, in some situations, to carry out earth resistance measurements without the need for auxiliary probes driven into the ground; the impact method, on the other hand, is used when diagnosing lightning protection grounding, but also makes it possible to carry out measurements of multiple groundings, also connected underground, without interfering with the circuit.Complementing the instrument's capabilities are measurements of ground resistivity, continuity of protective and equipotential connections and, using clamps, leakage or fault currents.
