Ceyear 1465 vector modulation signal generator

The 1465-V series signal generators have excellent vector modulation performance in the 100kHz-67GHz frequency range. With an internal modulation bandwidth of 200MHz and an external modulation bandwidth of 2GHz in real time, it is sure to meet any broadband signal modulation needs. The generator has excellent spectral purity and output power performance. The phase noise of the 10GHz carrier @10kHz offset is within -126dBc/Hz allowing it to meet high test signal requirements. The generator also has excellent vector modulation accuracy and at full frequency range the EVM value is less than 1.4% (4Msps), making the generator suitable for metrology purposes. More than 20 kinds of popular modulation and keying types such as PSK, QAM, FSK, ASK, etc. are supported. Supports 5 kinds of file formats (Mat-File 5, ASCII, Binary, Cap and csv) - the user can, for example, use USB to upload the modulation signal waveforms he created. The ergonomic operating interface and 10.1-inch high-brightness touchscreen will ensure comfortable use.

Generation of wideband vector signals

The 1465-V series signal generators offer the following bandwidths depending on the model: 3GHz/6GHz/10GHz/20GHz/40GHz/50GHz/67GHz. The 1465L-V model with the widest frequency range: 100kHz~67GHz will satisfy even the most demanding customer.

Wide vector modulation bandwidth

The 1465-V series signal generators provide internal vector modulation in the 200MHz band and external modulation in the 2GHz band.

Compatibility with multiple arbitrary waveform storage formats

The 1465-V series signal generators support loading of any arbitrary waveforms in the following formats: Mat-File 5, ASCII, Binary, Cap and csv. The recording depth is 2GSa.

High spectral purity

The 1465-V series signal generators are capable of producing signals with extremely low noise. For a carrier frequency of 10GHz and an offset of 10kHz, the single-band phase noise is typically 126dBc/Hz, while for 1GHz @ 10kHz it typically reaches -142dBc/Hz. The device can be used in Doppler radar, as well as in high-performance receiver block and adjacent channel selectivity test. It can also be an ideal alternative device for local oscillator and low jitter clocking circuitry.

High output power

For the high-power option (OPT-H05), typical maximum output power values are +22dBm at 20GHz and +16dBm at 40GHz.

Metrology-grade vector modulation accuracy

The 1465-V series signal generators have excellent vector modulation accuracy. EVM is less than 1.4% (typical value <1.0%) in the 100kHz-40GHz frequency range and EVM<2.5% (typical value<1.5%) in the 40GHz-67GHz frequency range.

Universal digital modulation formats

The 1465-V series signal generators provide real-time generation of signals modulated in more than 20 ways, including PSK, QAM, FSK, MSK, etc.

Convenient touch screen control

The touchscreen LED display is 10.1 inches with a resolution of 1280×800, with proper color matching, optimal function distribution and dedicated buttons on the panel for easy operation and convenience. The device can also be controlled with a multi-function knob, as well as with an external keyboard and mouse.

Multiple interfaces and functionality

Support for additional interfaces such as USB, LAN, GPIB, external monitor. The USB interface can be used for data transmission and keyboard/mouse connection. LAN or GPIB connector can be used for software control. The monitor connector can be used to connect an external LCD display.

Example applications

Performance testing of telecommunications systems

The ability to modulate user-defined signals over an extremely wide frequency range of 100kHz~67GHz allows testing of devices also in the field of satellite communications.

EM simulations

The 1465-V series signal generator has a wide frequency range, high resolution (16bit) and a powerful simulation function. It can generate complex sequences in various modulations. A rich synchronous triggering interface allows it to simulate complex interference signals in a real environment, making it possible to perform anti-interference tests on radar equipment.

Receiving system tests

The 1465-V series signal generator has a 140dB output dynamic range, extremely high frequency stability and 0.001Hz resolution. It can output a highly accurate test signal, enabling testing of parameters such as sensitivity, dynamic range and channel selectivity in receiving systems used in radar, electronic warfare and other communications equipment.

An alternative to the local oscillator

The 1465-V series signal generator guarantees precision and high signal quality, making it an ideal device to replace the LO when testing transmitters, receivers and other systems.
