EMCVIEW SOFTWARE FOR PC FOR PRE-TESTING EMC COMPLIANCE

Tekbox EMCview software for PC is a user-friendly tool for EMC compliance pre-testing of radiated and conducted emissions. It is an ideal complement to automated testing with LISNs, RF current probes, measurement antennas and TEM chambers.

Built-in amplitude correction allows correction and conversion of coefficients for cables, amplifiers, attenuators, LISNs, TEM chambers, antennas, RF current probes, strip lines and capacitive coupling clamps.

There is no need for time-consuming setup. The SW is ready for measurements immediately after installation. All measurements related to CISPR-xx (EN550xx) emissions and several automotive standards are preconfigured in the corresponding project files. In addition to using the pre-configured designs, users can easily create their own designs using the built-in editor or any simple text editor.

The chart supports two full measurement waveforms, such as Average/Quasi-Peak or Peak/Quasi-peak, for example, as well as quick scanning of critical quasi-peak peaks. The charts can be saved and overlaid with newer measurements to track and document design modifications.

In addition, EMCview along with a GPS receiver can be used to take RF coverage measurements. An export function creates KML files that link results to Google maps.

Immunity testing is handled through a dedicated menu that controls the spectrum analyzer's tracking generator.

EMCview PRO offers real-time measurement support for spectrum analyzers with real-time capability. In addition, EMCview PRO offers advanced conducted immunity testing functions for spectrum analyzers with tracking generators. Customers can choose between a standard EMCview or EMCview PRO license. Users with the EMCview standard license have the option to upgrade to EMCview Pro.

Key features of EMCview Standard

  • numerous pre-configured project files for all relevant EMC standards
  • chart supports two full measurement runs, the same as in the lab; simultaneous measurement with two detectors available for several analyzers
  • Fast Quasi-Peak scanning of critical peaks, immune to frequency drift of selected peaks
  • Rapid pre-scan
  • configurable boundary lines and segment files
  • configurable correction files for cable, LISN, amplifier, antenna, current probes, etc.
  • configurable margins for identification and selection of critical peaks
  • support for importing and overlaying reference measurements for comparison purposes
  • linear or logarithmic frequency axis
  • harmonic markers
  • automatic generation of test reports
  • multiple import/export functions
  • charts can be saved as graphs containing metadata, charts can be loaded with the corresponding measurement configuration
  • RF coverage measurements
  • tracking generator control for immunity tests using TEM cells
  • multiple post-processing functions
  • useful calculators

Key features of EMCview Pro

  • Everything the standard version offers
  • Immunity testing using CDN or BCI probes
  • High-speed measurement, supporting real-time throughput of the Siglent SSA3000X-R and Rigol RSA series

EMCview currently supports the following spectrum analyzers:

  • Rigol (DSA and RSA)
  • Siglent (SSA/SSA plus/SSA -R and SVA)
  • R&S (FPC and FPH)
  • OWON XSA and HSA
  • Teledyne Test Tools T3SA series
  • BK Precision 2683 series
  • ComPower SPA-900TG series
  • Multicomp MP700xyz series

The spectrum analyzer should be equipped with an EMI option.

Tekbox offers two license options:

  • Analyzer-coupled - the license is tied to the serial number of the spectrum analyzer. It can be installed on any number of computers, but can control only one dedicated spectrum analyzer.
  • PC-coupled: the license is tied to the host ID of the computer. It can control any of the supported spectrum analyzer models, but can only be installed on one dedicated computer.

Application

  • In-house EMC measurements in the product design phase

  • EMC training in the laboratory, school and university

  • Preliminary compliance testing of products before sending them to a test center

  • reduced testing costs

  • shorter time to market
