The TBMDA2 modulated broadband amplifier is designed to create an inexpensive signal source for testing the ruggedness of electronic components and products. It is connected to a tracking generator in a spectrum analyzer.
With a gain of 1dB + 27dBm, it can increase the output power of the tracking generator to 500mW.
TBMDA2 is ideal for working with near-field probes (as transmitting antennas) to find the sensitive spot of an electronic circuit or to produce an electric field of up to
170 V / m when working with the TBTC0 chamber
100 V / m during operation with TBTC1 chamber
50 V / m during operation with TBTC2 chamber
30 V / m during operation with TBTC3 chamber
Test signals for immunity testing can be CW, AM or PM. The TBMDA2 generator provides a built-in modulation function in AM or PM 1 kHz.
In PM mode, the TBMDA2 generator, can also generate a 217 Hz signal with a duty cycle of 12.5% to simulate the impact of a cell phone.
