The IT8400 is a high-performance electronic DC load having two voltage levels: 600V and 1200V. The device supports a master-slave connection in parallel from 6 kW to 600 kW and is capable of fast dual-power charging. The IT8400 has three current reading ranges with up to 40uA resolution. The IT8400 features faster loop response and current rise and fall rates. In addition, it supports up to 8 operating modes and has functions for dynamic mode, List test, OCP, OPP, auto test and battery test. The IT8400 has built-in CAN, LAN, GPIB, USB, RS232 and analog interfaces for remote control and system construction. In addition, the full protection function makes it well suited for fuel cell test, power battery discharge, DC charging stack, BOC, power electronics, solar, automotive high voltage components, DC-DC or motor.

Fast charging with double power
The input voltage of the IT8400 DC electronic load can reach 1200V. It has fast double power charging capability for all models from 6kW to 600kW. Selecting the model according to the maximum power during the actual test is not necessary, which can greatly save the cost. The input over power and charging time are adequate to the temperature of the electronic load. For example: under 30 ℃, the IT8400 supports double power charging in 3 seconds. This makes it suitable for immediate discharging tests of high-power motors and batteries, such as: simulating the starting of a DC motor, simulating the transient overload characteristics of some power supplies, or immediately discharging a high-power battery or fuel cell.
Higher current rise and fall and dynamic speed
Dynamic testing is one of the essential test elements for power supplies. The IT8400's dynamic mode can be used to measure it. All you need to do is set the current level, time, rising and falling edge and repetition times. Then you can check whether the power supply still works stably when the load current is changed gradually. The IT8400 supports a programmable dynamic charging mode with a frequency of 25kHz. The minimum current rise and fall time is 15us. When the load current changes continuously, internal monitoring and circuitry can minimize current waveform distortion. This is verified by the power switching transient response test and dynamic battery discharge test.
3 current measurement ranges
All IT8400 series models have 3 current measurement ranges. For example, in a model with a voltage of 1200V and a power of 6kW, its current can reach 1.5A. In addition, high resolution (up to 40uA) and high accuracy (up to 1.5mA)
enable a wide range of applications in testing, such as solar testing, power testing of semiconductor devices, automotive electronics, etc.
