What is the IEC61000 standard?

EN61000 is a standard for EMC testing for electronic and electrical products. EMC testing is also referred to as electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). It refers to the comprehensive evaluation of electromagnetic field interference (EMI) and anti-interference capability (EMS) of various electrical and electronic products.

It is one of the most important indicators of product quality. Taking the conducted immunity performance test as an example, the most widely used standards include:

  • IEC61000-4-11: Immunity test for voltage drops, short interruptions and voltage changes
  • IEC61000-4-13: Low-frequency immunity test for port harmonics, interharmonics and network signals
  • IEC61000-4-14: Immunity test for voltage fluctuations
  • IEC61000-4-28: Interference test for power frequency variation

Traditional solutions are characterized by low performance, complex waveform editing and even the need to resort to secondary development

To verify the anti-interference performance of electronic products to the power supply end, engineers often have to use programmable AC/DC sources to implement IEC61000 test items one by one through the waveform editing function of the equipment. However, even an experienced engineer who is familiar with the operation of the equipment has to spend a lot of time and carefully analyze irregular waveform editing - for example, when the waveform has a certain arc change and can't do anything, resulting in poor test performance.

What does ITECH offer?
